Meet MacKenzie Neumann

MacKenzie Neumann

Hello! My name is MacKenzie Neumann (she/her). I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Memphis, graduating summa cum laude and inducted into the National Honor Society. My academic and clinical experiences have shaped my commitment to helping others better understand themselves, their emotions, and the patterns that may be contributing to their distress.

My approach to therapy is grounded in evidence-based treatment, with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). While I specialize in working with individuals experiencing OCD, I also have experience supporting clients navigating eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and related concerns. I value incorporating the underlying neuroscience into treatment to help clients better understand both their symptoms and the process of change.

I have worked in both Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) settings, treating individuals with a wide range of clinical needs and levels of care. These experiences reinforced the importance of an individualized, collaborative, supportive, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment. I strive to help clients feel heard, understood, and comfortable exploring difficult thoughts, emotions, and experiences.

At the core of my work is the belief that meaningful change is possible. My goal is to help clients build insight, develop effective coping strategies, and feel empowered to move toward a more fulfilling and values-aligned life.
